Mission statement

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position provides analytical and operational support essential to the smooth running of the accounting department. It involves carrying out all day-to-day operations to ensure that the company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system;
  • Enter authorized revenues and expenses in the accounting system;
  • Keep supplier lists up to date in the accounting system and on banking sites;
  • Complete and submit tax reports;
  • Plan annual tax instalment payments;
  • Manage payroll and expense accounts;
  • Bank reconciliations;
  • Manage month-end and year-end processes;
  • Ensure proper classification of accounting, administrative and legal documents;
  • Advise the Finance Director.

Profile required

  • DEC/DEP in accounting or equivalent training
  • Accounting experience of at least 1 year
  • Ability to integrate new technologies
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French (advanced CLB7). Proficiency in English (intermediate CLB5) is an asset.
  • Organized, methodical, resourceful, meticulous, critical, analytical, inquisitive, customer service oriented.
  • Experience in the use of accounting software (Sage, Acomba, SAP). Experience in using SAP would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Office suite, including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Powerpoint and SharePoint is an asset.
