Job description :
Reporting to a wealth management advisor, the analyst plays a strategic role by providing analytical and operational support. This role serves as a stepping stone to a position as an associate wealth management advisor.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses, projections, and presentation materials for client meetings
- Assist advisors in implementing financial strategies and ensure rigorous follow-up of recommendations
- Accompany advisors during customer meetings and prepare the documents needed to close sales
- Contribute to business development (events, prospecting, special projects)
- Analyze and review ETFs used in model portfolios according to structure, risk exposure and performance
- Monitor new investment products and economic news to inform management decisions.
- Review portfolio performance and composition on a quarterly basis to ensure that they match customer profiles
- Monitor and assess portfolio risks (volatility, worst-case scenario) and track performance to prepare for customer meetings
- Any other tasks that the managing advisor may assign to him or her
Profile sought
- University degree in finance, financial planning, accounting or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in financial services
- Experience in securities, an asset
- Financial security advisor designation, an asset
- Completed or ongoing financial planner training—a plus
- Analytical skills, rigor, autonomy and professionalism
- Interpersonal skills and interest in developing customer relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
