Mission statement
Reporting to an Advisor Manager, the Assistant Advisor acts as a strategic right-hand man. In addition to supporting the advisor in managing his or her clientele, he or she progressively takes charge of certain clients. This role is a gateway to a wealth management advisor position.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare and participate in customer meetings with team consultants
- Ensure rigorous monitoring of implemented financial strategies (investments, insurance, tax)
- Act as a first-level point of contact for routine customer queries
- Take charge of certain customer relations under supervision
- Gradually develop customer acquisition and management skills
- Collaborate with financial analysts and operations team to ensure smooth processes
- Ensure that deadlines are met and that required documents are complete and accurate
- Contribute to business development (preparation of events, targeted prospecting)
- Carry out any other tasks required to ensure the success of the advisory team and customer satisfaction
Profile sought
- University degree in finance, financial planning, accounting or related field
- Minimum 18 months' relevant experience in securities
- CIM title acquired or in the process of being obtained, or level 2 CFA exam completed
- Financial planner designation, an asset
- Financial security advisor designation, an asset
- Analytical skills, rigor, autonomy and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (French and English)
