Mission statement

Reporting to an Advisor Manager, the Assistant Advisor acts as a strategic right-hand man. In addition to supporting the advisor in managing his or her clientele, he or she progressively takes charge of certain clients. This role is a gateway to a wealth management advisor position.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare and participate in customer meetings with team consultants
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of implemented financial strategies (investments, insurance, tax)
  • Act as a first-level point of contact for routine customer queries
  • Take charge of certain customer relations under supervision
  • Gradually develop customer acquisition and management skills
  • Collaborate with financial analysts and operations team to ensure smooth processes
  • Ensure that deadlines are met and that required documents are complete and accurate
  • Contribute to business development (preparation of events, targeted prospecting)
  • Carry out any other tasks required to ensure the success of the advisory team and customer satisfaction

Profile sought

  • University degree in finance, financial planning, accounting or related field
  • Minimum 18 months' relevant experience in securities
  • CIM title acquired or in the process of being obtained, or level 2 CFA exam completed
  • Financial planner designation, an asset
  • Financial security advisor designation, an asset
  • Analytical skills, rigor, autonomy and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual (French and English)
